GRADUATION CEREMONY INFORMATION
The Dana Hills High School Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the stadium.

Stadium gates open at 2:00 PM

Parking lot opens at 2:00 PM (Please enter through the second student lot gate)

No tickets required – seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please note:

No early line-ups at the gates prior to 2:00 PM.

Security staff will be on site to enforce this policy.

Gates will temporarily close at 3:40 PM to allow the graduates to walk to the field. No one will be admitted during this time, so please plan to arrive early.

Due to limited parking, we recommend using our free shuttle service from the Salt Creek Beach parking lot (PCH). Shuttle buses will run from 1:45 PM to 6:00 PM. Regular Salt Creek Beach parking fees apply.

 
INFORMATION FOR GRADUATING SENIORS
Cap & Gown Distribution
Tuesday, June 1st, 2026 | Gym

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal
Thursday, June 4th, 2026 | 9:00 AM | Football Field
 Students must attend rehearsal to participate in the ceremony.

Graduation Day Check-In
Arrive between 2:30–3:00 PM

Enter through the main gym entrance and proceed to the science quad

Carry your cap and gown when arriving. Once checked in, you’ll be searched before putting them on.

Bring hair pins to secure your cap.

Do not bring: purses, phones, cameras, flowers, water bottles, gifts, or any personal items. These are not allowed on the field. Confiscated items may be retrieved from the main office by 6:00 PM, or the following morning.

 
Dress Code
Graduates must wear:

Official blue or white cap and gown

Approved school-issued medals, cords, and stoles

No alterations or decorations to caps or gowns

Appropriate shoes for turf (no high heels – wedges are OK)

Remember to bring your medallion, tassel, cords, and stoles (for CSF, NHS, Thespians, HMO, SOCSA, ASU, and Publications).

 
Ceremony Etiquette
Every graduate deserves their moment to shine. Please:

Remain respectful and quiet during the presentation of diplomas

Avoid distractions such as noise-makers, beach balls, signs, or umbrellas

Help us celebrate with dignity and school pride

 
Diplomas
Students will receive a diploma cover during the ceremony.

Actual diplomas can be picked up immediately following the ceremony at the visitor gate.

Graduates unable to attend may pick up their diplomas on Friday, June 5th, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Guidance Office.

 
Outstanding Fines
All student debts (Chromebooks, textbooks, library, athletics, activities) must be cleared before cap and gown distribution on June 2nd.

Turn in Chromebooks and textbooks daily from 7:30 AM–3:30 PM in the Library.

Pay any outstanding fines at the Activities window.

 
GUEST AND VISITOR INFORMATION
Seating
Seating is first-come, first-served

A reserved accessible seating area will be located on the visitor side track

Be prepared for warm weather and direct sunlight – hats, sunscreen, and water are encouraged

Parent & Guest Field Access
No field access is permitted before or during the ceremony

After the ceremony, graduates will exit through the visitor side to collect diplomas and meet family members at the front of the school

Prohibited Items: pets, lawn chairs (stadium seats are okay), umbrellas, balloons, coolers, glass containers, skateboards/scooters, and noise-makers.

 
PARKING & ACCESSIBILITY
Due to limited on-campus parking and residential street closures, we encourage families to use the Salt Creek Beach shuttle service (runs 1:45–6:00 PM).

Accessible parking will be available near the stadium for vehicles displaying valid handicapped placards, though spots are limited.

We will have:

Golf carts for transport assistance (not available after the ceremony)

Wheelchair-accessible ramps on the visitor side

A designated ADA drop-off zone at the visitor gate

Each guest requiring accessible seating may be accompanied by one (1) escort. Additional family members may sit directly behind them in the stands.

INFORMACIÓN DE LA CEREMONIA DE GRADUACIÓN
La Ceremonia de Graduación de la Clase de 2026 de Dana Hills High School se llevará a cabo el jueves, 4 de junio de 2026 a las 4:00 PM en el estadio escolar.

Las puertas del estadio se abrirán a las 2:00 PM

El estacionamiento abrirá a las 2:00 PM (ingrese por la segunda entrada del estacionamiento de estudiantes)

No se requieren boletos – los asientos estarán disponibles por orden de llegada

Para garantizar la seguridad y comodidad de todos:

No se permitirá hacer fila antes de las 2:00 PM.

El personal de seguridad estará presente para hacer cumplir esta regla.

Las puertas del estadio se cerrarán temporalmente a las 3:40 PM para permitir que los graduados ingresen al campo. Durante este tiempo no se permitirá la entrada. Por favor, llegue temprano.

Debido a la cantidad limitada de estacionamientos, recomendamos usar el servicio gratuito de transporte (shuttle) desde el estacionamiento de la playa Salt Creek (PCH). Los autobuses operarán desde 1:45 PM hasta 6:00 PM. Se aplicarán las tarifas normales de estacionamiento de Salt Creek Beach.

 
INFORMACIÓN PARA LOS ESTUDIANTES GRADUADOS
Distribución de Toga y Birrete
Lunes, 1 de Junio,  2026 | Gimnasio

Ensayo Obligatorio de Graduación
Jueves, 4 de junio de 2026 | 9:00 AM | Campo de Fútbol Americano
 La asistencia al ensayo es OBLIGATORIA para poder participar en la ceremonia.

Llegada el Día de la Graduación
Llegue entre 2:30 y 3:00 PM

Ingrese por la entrada principal del gimnasio y diríjase al patio de ciencias

Lleve su toga y birrete en la mano al llegar. Después del registro y revisión de seguridad, podrá ponérselos mientras espera.

Traiga horquillas o pasadores para asegurar su birrete.

No traiga bolsos, celulares, cámaras, flores, botellas de agua, maquillaje, regalos u otros artículos personales. Estos no están permitidos en el campo. Los artículos confiscados se podrán recoger en la oficina principal antes de las 6:00 PM o la mañana siguiente.

 
Código de Vestimenta
Se espera que todos los graduados usen:

Su toga y birrete azul o blanco oficiales

Medallas, cordones y estolas emitidos por la escuela

Sin decoraciones o modificaciones en el birrete o la toga

Zapatos apropiados para el pasto sintético (no se permiten tacones altos; zapatos de cuña son aceptables)

Recuerde traer su medallón, borla, estola y cordones (para CSF, NHS, Thespians, HMO, SOCSA, ASU y Publicaciones).

 
Etiqueta de la Ceremonia
Cada graduado merece su momento especial. Por favor:

Mantenga el silencio durante la entrega de diplomas

Evite distracciones como ruidos, pelotas de playa, carteles o sombrillas

Celebre con respeto y orgullo escolar

 
Diplomas
Durante la ceremonia, los estudiantes recibirán una carpeta para el diploma.

Los diplomas se podrán recoger inmediatamente después de la ceremonia en la puerta del lado de visitantes.

Los estudiantes que no asistan a la ceremonia podrán recoger su diploma el viernes, 5 de junio de 2026, entre 8:00 AM y 3:00 PM en la Oficina de Consejería.

 
Multas o Deudas Pendientes
Todos los estudiantes deben saldar sus deudas (Chromebooks, libros, biblioteca, atletismo, actividades) antes de recoger su toga y birrete el 2 de junio.

Entregue Chromebooks y libros en la biblioteca de 7:30 AM a 3:30 PM.

Pague cualquier multa en la ventanilla de Actividades.

 
INFORMACIÓN PARA PADRES E INVITADOS
Asientos
Los asientos estarán disponibles por orden de llegada

Habrá una zona reservada de asientos accesibles en la pista del lado de visitantes

La ceremonia será al aire libre y probablemente con clima cálido y sol directo. Por favor, prepárese con sombreros, protector solar y agua.

Acceso al Campo
Los padres e invitados no podrán ingresar al campo antes ni durante la ceremonia.

Después de la ceremonia, los graduados saldrán por el lado de visitantes para recoger su diploma y reunirse con sus familias frente a la escuela.

Artículos prohibidos: mascotas, sillas de jardín (se permiten los asientos portátiles del estadio), paraguas, globos, hieleras, recipientes de vidrio o metal, patinetas y artículos ruidosos.

 
ESTACIONAMIENTO Y ACCESIBILIDAD
Debido al número limitado de espacios en la escuela y el cierre de calles residenciales, recomendamos usar el servicio de transporte gratuito desde el estacionamiento de Salt Creek Beach (de 1:45 a 6:00 PM).

Habrá estacionamiento accesible para vehículos con placas o permisos ADA, aunque los espacios son limitados.

Tendremos:

Carritos de golf para ayudar a las personas con movilidad limitada (no disponibles después de la ceremonia)

Rampas accesibles para sillas de ruedas en el lado de visitantes

Una zona de ascenso y descenso ADA en la puerta de visitantes del estadio

Cada invitado que necesite asistencia podrá tener un (1) acompañante. Los familiares restantes podrán sentarse en las gradas detrás de ellos.
