Winter Formal is a formal event for all students. The school dress code will be enforced.

Student ID cards are required; this is the ticket into the dance. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable after February 1st, 2023, and not for resale at all. Guests are permitted; however, a guest contract must be approved by Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 by 3:00 pm.
Dana Hills Students can purchase a ticket at the door for $125, cash only. Students must have their student ID to purchase a ticket at the door. A phone call home may be made to guarantee permission.
Students must enter the dance by 8:00 pm or may not be granted entry. Only students who have made prior arrangements with an Assistant Principal or the Activities Director will be allowed to enter after 8:00 pm. If students have purchased a ticket and are not at the dance by 8:00 pm, we will call parents to ensure students are safe.
We may be breathalyzing all students at the entrance of the dance. Any student testing positive for alcohol, or suspected to be under the influence, may be directed toward our Sheriff's Deputies for further analysis. We want to make sure everyone is safe and we don't have anyone driving to or from our dance under the influence. This procedure serves as a deterrent to student drinking and empowers students with an additional tool to make the right choices.
Students may be checked by private security for illegal or controlled substances before entry to the dance area. Any student who refuses to be checked will be denied entry.
Students must be dressed properly at all times. This is a district-wide dress/grooming standard. Students who are out of compliance with these standards, even on the first offense, may not be allowed into the dance/activity. Students should wear formal attire to the dance, such as dress pants, slacks, dress shirts or formal dresses. Shoes must be worn at all times. If a student’s shoes are uncomfortable to dance in, they may bring a pair of sneakers or flip-flops to change into. Coat check will not accept shoes unless a student has another pair of shoes to wear during the dance.
Avoid lost items or theft. Do not bring valuables or large amounts of money to the dance.
The dance ends at 10:00 pm and students must be picked up by 10:15 pm at the latest.. To avoid any consequences for attending future events, students must be picked up no later than 10:15 pm.
Party Buses: Buses will be searched upon arrival. Students will remain on the bus until it has been inspected by an Assistant Principal, or other admin, and given permission to leave the bus.
