CSF is the California Scholarship Federation. The club allows students who have achieved academic success to showcase their community service for college applications. Membership is based upon certain grades earned in certain classes.

Students must apply at the start of each semester using their grades from the previous semester. The course list will help you determine how to fill out the application. All 10th, 11th, and 12th are eligible for membership.
Second semester 9th graders may apply for auxiliary membership – membership with does not count toward lifetime membership, but still requires all service hours. If a student was a member of CJSF in middle school, she or he is eligible for auxiliary membership first semester of the 9th grade year.

At the start of sophomore year, students are eligible to begin membership for what is called lifetime status – this means that a student has to qualify four semesters between his or her sophomore year and senior year (one of these four semesters must be in the senior year). If students qualify for 4-5 semesters (one of which must be in the senior year), students will receive High Honors (a cord, a tassel, and a pin as well as a seal on their diploma). If student qualify for 6 semesters, students will receive Highest Honors (a stole, a tassel, and a pin as well as a seal on their diploma).

Once accepted into the club, students are required to complete ten service hours per semester. Four school hours are required and are given for any service provided on the DHHS campus. Four community hours are required and are given for any service you find and complete on your own within the community. Meetings, held throughout each semester as facilities allow, are mandatory. These meetings occur at lunch in the porthole theater (or when specified via school announcements, email, or Instragram).

CSF is an exciting place to meet people who are both philanthropically and academically driven. Get involved and make a difference for others! See the linked application on this page. If you qualify, fill out the Google Form for applications, include your attached application as well as an attached copy of your previous semester’s grades or a copy of your transcripts.

WE ARE IN CRITICAL NEED OF DONATIONS. In order to cover our state chapter dues of roughly $150 as well as give all of our qualified CSF seniors their graduation awards, which are roughly $2000 or more, we are asking for $10 donations. If we do not get enough donations, we will have to charge seniors for their awards. If you are willing, please consider making a donation in the amount of $10 or more. All donations must be made at the activities window or in the DHHS Student Store on our school’s website. On our webpage, click on the Activities home page. On the top, click on DHHS Student Store link. Under the Categories tab, click DONATIONS. Scroll down to CSF donations and click View Details. You can make your payment on this page as long as you are logged in. Link to DHHS Student Store.
